Latta’s Trent Storts will be following in his mother’s footsteps when he plays in the 2013 All-State small school boys basketball game Thursday night at the Mabee Center on the campus of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.

Storts will play for the Small East when his team battles the Small West at 7 p.m.

“It’s a great honor, and it couldn’t have happened to a better kid,” said Latta head coach Donnie Husband, who will receive a Region Coach of the Year award at the All-State games. “He was so consistent for us all year long, whether it be practice or attitude or production in games. He was just so consistent.”
