The East Central University women’s basketball team got its first taste of action for the 2012-13 season, in the form of a 91-59 loss to Texas Christian University in an exhibition game Wednesday night at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

The Lady Tigers were led by sophomore Dilan Webster, who tallied 11 points and eight rebounds.  Senior Lindsay McCown tallied a team-best 12 points and added seven boards, while senior Kodi Morrison added 12 points and junior Ashley Robison tallied 11.

“I feel like we learned that we can be pretty good at times and pretty bad at times,” said head coach Kent Franz.  “And it all depends on what we want we want to be.  We got out of this game what we wanted and it exposed some of our weakness.  Now we have identified them we just need to correct them.”

The teams started the first half on an even keel, with the Horned Frogs holding a small lead through the first seven minutes of the half.  From 12:15 to 11:29 TCU opened up a double-digit lead; with a 6-0 run that put them up 23-10.
