DURANT – Andrey Hinson scored a pair of goals and assisted on the other as the Ada Cougars claimed a 3-0 victory over the Durant Lions Thursday night in boys’ high school soccer action.

Hinson tallied the first goal of the contest in the opening half off a shot from 20 yards out, with Daniel Gutierrez providing the assist.

The Cougars then went up 2-0 before halftime, as Esaie Beam scored off a Hinson cross.

Hinson put the finishing touches on the win when he scored from 10 yards out in the second half.

“Our defense finished another shutout. Reese Hamilton, Tyde Thomsen, Jagger Pedigo and Jose Feezel were great on the back line,” said Ada head coach Cole Jones. “Grant Bellard also made a couple fantastic saves, keeping his year going great.”

The Cougars improved to a perfect 6-0 on the season and will open district play March 27 at Ardmore for their next action.
