ADA — The recent struggles for the Ada girls soccer team continued in a 2-0 home loss to Chickasha Tuesday night.

Sophomore goaltender Taryn Jack stopped 12 of 14 Chickasha shots, but Ada managed just four shots on goal and was shut out for the third straight game to fall to 4-5 on the season and, more importantly, to 0-3 in district play. The Ada boys squad also lost to Chiskasha to drop to 2-7 and 0-3.

“Our defense once again had a strong showing,” Ada girls coach Tom Morrison said. “We have to get more organized on our team passing, but I was proud of some of our younger players. They did a really good job.

“We’re pretty banged up right now, and we’re just kind of struggling with our offense,” he added. “We took the playoffs out of our hands now. We just have to try to string together some wins and hope for the best.”

Both Ada squads continue a three-game homestand tonight, hosting Noble in a doubleheader that begins with the girls match at 5:50 p.m.
