Annual Phi Tau Golf scramble scheduled for Saturday at Duffer

ADA — The Eccentric Duffer Golf Course is hosting the 14th Annual Phi Tau Golf Scramble Saturday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Entry fee is $60 per 2-person team. Payout will be as follows as first place will pay $250, second place $150 and third $75.

The Eccentric Duffer is located approximately 7/10 of a mile west of the Holcim Cement plant smokestack on County Road 1550 (formerly Reeves Road).

Local Hershey's Track Meet

scheduled April 24 at Ada High

ADA — The City of Ada Recreation Department will be hosting a local meet of The Hershey’s National Track and Field Youth Program Saturday, April 24 at The Ada High School Track.

All children born in 1996 through 2001 are eligible to register.  There is no entry fee or special equipment needed.

Registration Forms can be picked up and filled out at The Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, office No. 1.

All Participants need to pre-register by 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 22. Copy of birth certificate must accompany the entry form in order for youth to compete.

Softball tournament slated

May 7-8 in Konawa

KONAWA — A double-elimination, fast-pitch softball tournament will take place May 7-8 at the Konawa High School softball field.

Entry fee is $100, and the tournament is open to teams ages 10- and 12-and-younger.

All proceeds will benefit the Konawa Lady Tigers fast-pitch softball program.
