Co-ed benefit tourney planned for May 21-22
MILL CREEK — The Second Annual Technisand Co-ed Slowpitch Benefit Softball tournament date has been set for May 21-22.
The tournament will be held at Mill Creek City Park (and if needed the Mill Creek High School softball field).
This tournament will benefit the Pontotoc County American Red Cross Association. All proceeds from entry fees, concession, gate, etc. will go to the local organization.
The tournament will be ASA Rules and the entry fee is $100 dollars per team. Dead line to sign up is Monday, May 16, at 5 p.m. Trophies will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams with the tournament champions also getting T-shirts.

sign up for flag football
ADA — Sign up continues for the upcoming Boys and Girls Club of Ada Flag Football season
Players may sign up from now until April 29. Registration is open to children ages 6-12. Players must be six or entering the first grade by the fall of 2011.
Entry fee is $40 per player. Games will begin on June 6 and run through July 20.

Coed softball tournament
scheduled for April 30
ADA — A coed softball tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at Kullihoma.
Entry fee is $100 per team and is due by April 28 at 5 p.m.
Team rosters must consists of five women and five men and ASA rules will be used.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Synergy 10-and-under fast-pitch softball team and will be used for new uniforms and tournament fees.

Two-man bass tournament
set for Saturday, May 14
STRATFORD — The 10th annual Stratford Fire Department and Masonic Lodge two-man bass tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 14.
Entry fee is $45 per team and $10 more for big bass. Entry deadline is 5 p.m. May 13.
Fishing starts at 6 a.m. (May 14) and check-in is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the fire station.
There is a five-fish limit. Teams may fish any pond, lake or stream. Dead fish may not be eligible.

Due to incorrection information provided to the spors department, the winners of the 15th annual Phi Kappa Tau Tournament held recently at the Eccentric Duffer Golf Course were misidentified in Sunday’s edition of The Ada Evening News. The winners of the tournament were Bill and Bret Hagar of Ada with Bo Thomason and Duane Rhodes finishing second.
