ADA — The Ada Tennis Club will host the annual Hardrock Tennis Tournament Sunday, April 17, at the Ada Tennis Center on South Cradduck Road.

Registration will begin at 1 p.m. The draw will be made immediately after registration.

Men’s and Women’s brackets will be offered. The tournament features blind draw doubles matching less experienced with more experienced players and welcomes players of all abilities. Men’s and women’s brackets will feature both main draws and consolations. The coveted Hardrock trophies will be awarded to men’s and women’s champions and runners-up in both the main draw and the consolations.

Membership in the Ada Tennis Club is the only entry fee and cost $5 per family.

Participants should bring one can of new tennis balls and their rackets and report to the Ada Tennis Center at 1 p.m.

Unless weather intervenes, the tournament should finish Sunday evening.

“The tournament began decades ago to provide less experienced players with an opportunity to play and learn from more seasoned veterans,” said longtime tournament organizer Bill Nelson. “That continues to be a key element of the competition along with the chance to meet other players from the area.”
