Ada coaches thought they were supposed to be competing in the Tulsa Kelly Tournament this weekend, but tournament officials said the Cougars weren’t listed as part of the 22-team field. Now, coach Greg Dean will take his troops to Oklahoma City next Saturday to compete in the Northwest Classen Tournament.

COACHES QUOTE: “All three of our guys that had to wrestle above their class got wins and that was huge. We knew what we had to do and they just went out there and took care of business,” — Ada assistant coach Terry Don Teel.

Team Record: Ada 8-2.

Up Next: Ada at Ada Quad Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. at Ada Junior High West Gym. (Sulphur and Purcell will also participate).
