ARDMORE — Ardmore scored early and often and rolled over Ada 9-4 in the championship game of the Ardmore Tournament Saturday.

The Tigers (4-1) took a 5-0 lead in the first inning and cruised home for the title.

Spencer Penrod’s two-RBI single cut the deficit to 9-4, but Ada couldn’t get anything going after that.

Reed Downing (1-0) got the win in relief. Dillon Phillips (2-2) suffered the loss for Ada (6-4).

The game was called after six innings because of rain.

Ardmore outhit Ada 13-4.

The Cougars are at Byng at 6 p.m. today for a Red Dirt League doubleheader.
