NOTEWORTHY: The Cougars finished runner-up to tournament host Carl Albert as Ada improved upon its fourth-place finish in Monday’s Tournament of Champions. Wyatt Robson’s 72 led the way for Ada, which had all golfers shot below 90.

COACHES QUOTE: “We had another pretty good outing. It was a little bit windy, but we handled it pretty well for the most part. Wyatt Robson played really well again, and the other four held things together enough to keep our score under 320. We did make a few questionable decisions, which is something we have managed to avoid over the last couple of tournaments, those decisions came mainly from one player, and I think he will actually benefit greatly from seeing how making a couple of silly mental mistakes can really be detrimental to scoring. The other four players were able to avoid the mental mistakes and really just struggle a little with the wind and club selection. All in all, I was happy with the final result. I guess it is pretty good to be able to still pick out some faults and come out with a second-place finish.” — Ada head boys coach Robbie Powell.
