NOTEWORTHY: The only run the Cougars could get came off the bat of Cale Russell as he hit his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning to spoil Lone Grove’s shutout bid. It would be the first of two homers on the day for Russell.

NOTEWORTHY: The Ada bats came alive in the second game as an eight-run first inning was highlighted by Cale Russell’s second home run of the day, and fifth of the season — a two-run shot. Dillon Bolin hit his first homer of the season, a grand-slam homer, to highlight a five-run second inning for the Cougars. Bolin had three hits, while Russell had two to lead Ada’s 13-hit outburst.
