The quartet of Brown, Nathan Blakely, Ramsey Maxwell and Johnson set a personal best time of 8.43 in that event.

COACHES QUOTE: “We performed well, and I thought that the kids that didn’t place even performed well. They’re starting to peak at the right time. We didn’t get an exchange in our sprint (400 meter) relay, so we didn’t get any points there. But our 3,200 relay ran a personal best to help us out. The kids really stepped up and did well in our events, especially in our long-disatance events. The mile (1,600 meter) relay was fifth and got some points for us — and that sealed the deal for us. It was really a good day.” — Ada boys head coach Nathan Elliott.
