The second-ranked Asher Indians pounded out 17 hits, including four home runs, in a 22-0 rout of the Stonewall Longhorns during a Class B Regional championship game Friday evening at Gipson Field.

With the victory, Asher moves into next week’s Class B State Tournament. Stonewall ends its season at 18-12.

“We picked a good time to break out of our offensive shell. We hope to get over the hump and bring home the title next week. We were disappointed we didn’t get to host a regional, but Stonewall has a great facility and great people, and they hosted a great regional,” said Asher head coach Shane Coker.
