Three Ada High female athletes will partipate in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Games, it was announced earlier this week.

COALGATE — Former Ada star and current Oklahoma City University women’s basketball coach Bo Overton is the featured speaker for the 2017 Coalgate Alumni/Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at the high school gymnasium.

Oklahoma State standout running back Chris Carson became the 21st draft pick of the Mike Gundy era and the second Cowboy draft pick of the day Saturday, as the Seattle Seahawks selected him with the 249th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City center Enes Kanter could not get into Bucharest, Romania today after landing there on a flight from Singapore. The Turkish government had canceled his passport. Kanter, who is from Turkey, quickly took to Twitter to explain the situation.
