Four PTC students attend conference

Kelsey Denio, Ty Barrett, Ruth Vines, and John Elliott, students of Pontotoc Technology Center, joined more than 300 students, advisers and guests for the seventh annual Oklahoma National Technical Honor Society State Leadership Conference Nov. 13 at Moore Norman Technology Center’s South Penn Campus.

Voice of the Oklahoma City Redhawks Alex Freedman gave the keynote speech. Students also heard from Warren Martin, executive director of the Gen. Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum, as well as Richard Hedrick, director of the Oklahoma Sports Museum. Kate Allen, chapter services coordinator from the NTHS national office, was recognized as a special guest. 

This year’s theme was “Oklahoma NTHS All Stars,” and students came from all across Oklahoma. Ty Barrett, PTC Information Technology student designed the conference t-shirt and was honored at the event.
