Local church hosts cantata Silent Night! Holy Night!

ADA — Asbury United Methodist Church hosts a cantata Silent Night! Holy Night! at 10:30 a.m. and a potluck breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday. The event is open to the public.

 

Abba's Tables needs help feeding the hungry in Ada

ADA — Abba's Tables Association (ATA) needs help to feed the hungry in Ada.

The organization is open to local churches and people from all walks of life. ATA meets at 7 p.m. each Tuesday at 600 W. 9th. Volunteers and donations are needed.

Gospel singing for December canceled at Happyland church

HAPPYLAND — Happyland Free Will Baptist Church is canceling its gospel singing for December.

 

Church to host candlelight and communion services Dec. 24

ADA — First United Methodist Church hosts  Christmas Eve candlelight and communion services at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Dec. 24.

In addition, there will be a Christmas family celebration with emphasis on children at 3 p.m. in fellowship hall of the church.

There will be special music and David Daniel, pastor, will preach on The night of Redemption.

The event is open to the public.

Child care will be provided at the 6 p.m. service only.

The church is located at 129 W. 14th St.

Ada Baptist Temple presents Christmas play Sunday night

ADA — Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Ada Baptist Temple’s junior choir presents the Christmas play “A Peanut Butter Christmas.” Jo Ann Hollars and Keysha Hogue are directing the boys and girls.

 The event is open to the public.

New Life Church hosts new prayer plaza at church

ADA — New Life Church of the Apostolic Faith welcomes everyone to its new prayer plaza. Tack prayer requests to the cross or phone 436-1765 for prayers.

 

Food ministry giveaway set Saturday at Ada church

ADA — Philemon Baptist Church, 3101 Ware Drive, hosts a food ministry from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, Dec. 15. For more information, phone 332-2063.
