Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department recently received $3,620 to launch its Click It or Ticket campaign. The grant money goes toward deputies’ pay in overtime in support of the mobilization.

Latta’s Quinton Scott recently signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, Moore. Scott is the son of Ronald Hood and Angela Scott.

Roff senior C.J. Stewart recentlly signed a letter of intent to play collegiately at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Stewart is the son of Mike and Janna Stewart.

Winners of the recent Second Annual Pickett Volunteer Fire Department two-person benefit golf scramble were Rodney and Ron Brown, father and son team, first place; Farrell and Kevin Roads, second place; and Danny Slater and Roger Bingham third place. Bingham also took home the closest to the pin and putting prizes.

Amber Stockwell, Ada, was recently awarded a $500 Residence Hall Scholarship at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Stockwell will be a freshman at SWOSU during the 20067-2007 academic year. She is the daughter of Dan Stockwell, Ada.
