Oklahoma receiver Nick Basquine has been cleared medically from an Achille’s heel tear that sidelined him last fall.
Thank you God, just got medically cleared. Comeback season is officially underway.— Nick Basquine (@NB5ive) January 22, 2018
Basquine tweeted the news, writing, “Thank you God, just got medically cleared. Comeback season is officially underway.”
Last August, the former Norman North star was OU’s leading returning wide receiver in yardage produced after 20 passes for 265 yards as a redshirt sophomore. He was expected to play a major role in Lincoln Riley's offense.
Basquine walked on to the team in 2014 and didn’t play in 2015, but was a standout on the scout team.
