Patrick Wine, a sophomore student film production major at the University of Colorado in Boulder and an Enid High School graduate, traveled to the Lexington, Mo., area earlier this week to witness the total solar eclipse.

During the eclipse, he captured a video of the moon blocking the sun and three photographs of the event showing the sun in near, complete and emerging from total eclipse, which he has shared on his Facebook Page,

Wine spent the summer in Enid producing a 25-minute short file “Net Worth.” Last year, he produced a film for the NASA Cinespace Film Festival called “AD ASTRA.” During his summer film work he said he was impressed with the outpouring of support from the community.

Wine said what he loves about film and what got him into it, is what he hopes others take away from filmmaking and the movie.

“You’re in the world of someone’s imagination,” Wine said. “It’s getting a message out to the people through a story, and the storytelling aspect, too.”
