CHICKASHA, Okla. — Chickasha Police were dispatched to a domestic assault call that ended in head wounds for the alleged assailant.

Officers made contact with two men arguing within a residence. One of the men, Willie Pippins, refused to identify himself to officers and had an odor of alcohol coming from his person and slurred speech.

The other man said he was awakened to the sound of Pippins yelling in the residence. When he went to investigate he allegedly observed Pippins pushing his mother. The man said he then hit Pippins and the two began wrestling on the floor, an incident report said.

Pippins then allegedly began biting the man on both hands and his right arm, with enough force to draw blood. The incident report states there were bite marks on the man's fingers, hands and forearm.

As the two continued to fight, Pippins then allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the other man. The man fought Pippins for the gun and at some point the gun was fired, the report said.

The man told officers he was able to wrestle the gun away from Pippins and hit him a few times. The man was able to hide the gun under a mattress before he and Pippins got in another argument, the report said.

Chickasha Police collected the gun and observed that it had been fired, according to the report.

Pippins alleged the man had hit him in the head with the gun. Pippins had several head wounds consistent with being hit with a blunt object.

Pippins was transported to the Grady County Jail on charges of domestic abuse, felonious pointing of a firearm at another, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and obstructing an officer.
