Berthal Gentry

Byars —  Graveside services for Berthal E. Gentry, 79, of Byars, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at McGee Cemetery. The Rev. Owen Mannin will officiate.

Mr. Gentry died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Norman.

He was born Dec. 11, 1934, at Galey to Jarrett and Elsie (Medford) Gentry. He married Anna Faye Midgett on March 27, 1954, at Stratford.

Mr. Gentry was the manager at Evergreen Feed in Ada until his retirement. He lived most of his life in the Byars area.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Gentry; two sons, Dannie Gentry and wife, Melinda, of Shawnee, and David Gentry and wife, D.J., of Byars; two sisters, Eva Nell McGee and husband, Delbert, of Noble, and Annie Ruth Winters and good friend, Billy LaNoy, of Davis; three grandsons, Jarrett Gentry and wife, Anna, Justin Gentry and wife, Courtney, and Preston Gentry; granddaughter, Shalawna Gentry; and three great-granddaughters, Jocelyn, Aubrey and Jaelyn.

Honorary bearers will be Mr. Gentry's nephews.
