Ruth Agnes Bates Berry

Services for Ruth Agnes Bates Berry, 98, Burleson, Texas, formerly of Ada are 10 a.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Jerry State, pastor,  is officiating. Burial follows at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka.

Ms. Berry died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Burleson, Texas. She was born Feb. 10, 1914, at Wapanucka to Jess and Myrtle Mary Coffee Bates. She attended Wapanucka schools.

Ms. Berry was a licensed practical nurse at Palm Harbor Hospital in California. She was affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Durlene Perkins, Burleson; a niece, Mary Myrtle Bates Haworth, Tupelo; three grandchildren, Phyllis Perkins, Burleson,  Keita Perkins, Burleson, and Ronda DeSoto, San Antonio, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leo Perkins and a grandson, Anthony Perkins.
