Mary Bell Abbott-Golden

Graveside services for Mary Belle Abbott-Golden, 90, of Ada, are 10 a.m. Thursday at New Bethel Cemetery, the Rev. Frank Trent officiating.

Ms.Abbott-Golden died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at a local nursing home. She was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Beggs to Burton and Lenora Meadows Dunham.

She attended Byng schools and was a homemaker.

She married Lester O. Abbott April 18, 1942. He died  Aug. 1, 1980. She later married Sam Golden and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Abbott and wife Suzi, Ada, James Abbott and wife Jan, Ada; daughter-in-law Linda Abbott, Slaton, Texas; son-in-law Johnny Sanders, Pickett; Sandra Shumard whom she reared;  seven grandchildren Monica Linder, Pam Jeffrey, Brenda Pasquali, Cindy Abbott, Tammy Bliss, Debbie Forster and Jamie Abbott and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Sanders; son, Douglas Abbott; infant daughter, Barbara June Abbott; two grandsons, Ricky Stegall and Kenny Abbott; great-grandson, Joshua Murray and great-granddaughter, Kara Stegall.
