Stonewall — LOIS BOYD

STONEWALL — Services for Lois Jean Boyd, 70, of Stonewall are 2 p.m. Monday at Union Valley Baptist Church, the Rev. Randall Christy officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.

Mrs.  Boyd died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Ada to Willie James and Erthel Steveson Flowers.

She attended Latta grade school and graduated from Latta High School. Mrs. Boyd was a nurse’s aide in California and later at St. Anthony’s hospital in Oklahoma City.

She married Gary Boyd. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Rochelle Stevens, Wynnewood; two sons, James Stevens, Los Angeles, Calif., and Jeffery Stevens, Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Billy Flowers and his wife Dorothy, Union Valley and Jimmy Flowers and wife Pat, Albany, Mo; a sister, Rozetta Miller, Ada; a half-sister, Geneva Hoover, Texas; and a half-brother, T.J. Davis and his wife Betty, Oklahoma City.

Bearers are Roy Allen, Jim Christian, Glen Herrin, Steve Vandegrift, Solomon Gantt and Adam Horton.
