Pauline Noel

Trumann, Ark. —

Services for Pauline Noel, 81, of Trumann, Ark., are at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Floyd Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery.

Mrs. Noel died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at an assisted living center in Ada.

She was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Allen to Roy Winfred and Clara Owens Borders. She received bachelor’s, master’s and community college degrees from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark.

She married Jack Noel April 17, 1949, in Coalgate. He preceded her in death July 12, 2012, in Jonesboro, Ark.

Mrs. Noel was a high school business teacher at Trumann High School for 48 years. She and her husband worked in the movie theater business for 63 years. 

Mrs. Noel was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Pearl Hammonds of Duncan and Geraldine O’Brien and husband, Dave, of Congress, Ariz.; two brothers, W. B. Borders and wife, Loretta, of Ada and Marion Borders and wife, Louise, of Sulphur; a sister-in-law, Helen Borders of Holdenville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, R. W., Charles Wayne and Johnny Lee Borders; and sisters Alice Kemper and Christine Borders.

Bearers will be W. B. Borders, Marion Borders, Jason Borders and Kevin Borders.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or your favorite charity.
