Services for Frances J. Wood, 87, of Ada are 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Criswell  Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Susan Ayers officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.

Mrs. Wood died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at a local nursing home.

She was born June 5, 1926, in Roff to France Henderson and Myrtle Arbel Shackleford McKinney. She attended Eubanks, Pleasant Hill and Clarita schools.

She married L.K. Wood Oct. 21, 1943, and he preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2003.

Mrs. Wood worked at Jan Frances Nursing Home more than 20 years and attended Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Gary Wood and wife, Teresa, Ada, Mike Wood and wife, Kim, Bartlesville, and Rickey Wood, Sentinel; a daughter, Nancy ”Janey” Sanders and husband, Herbert, Tupelo; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Wood; sister, Wanda Murphy; and two great-grandchildren.

Bearers are grandsons Michael Wood, Johnathan Wood, Brandon Wood, Keith Wood, Brian Wood, Lendon Wood and Rickey Wood.
