Kathryn LeBella Taylor

Graveside services for Kathryn LeBella Taylor, 90, of Oklahoma City are 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Rosedale Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Dennis officiating and Suzanne Wooley performing a violin solo. The family is receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at an Oklahoma City nursing center. She was born Dec. 22, 1922, in Goodland, Okla., to John and Mamie Brinkley Wasem. 

She married Delbert Taylor on July 20, 1940.  He died Feb. 25, 1997. 

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker. She was a member of Ada First Baptist Church for many years and worked in the children’s ministry and jail and prison ministry.

She moved to McAlester in 1998 and became a member of First Baptist Church in McAlester.  She was a prayer warrior for the Norman Vincent Peale Guidepost magazine and would receive packets of prayer requests weekly.

Survivors include two sons, Delbert Taylor of Hot Springs, Ark., and Stephen Taylor and wife Mary of Konawa; two daughters, Diana Anderson of Wasilla, Alaska, and Becky Fenton of Edmond; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Delbert Taylor.
