Kenneth Jason Davis Sr.

Tupelo —

Graveside memorial services for Kenneth Jason Davis Sr., 87, are 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Tupelo.

Mr. Davis was born to Robert P. and Lou Ann Carlton Davis Nov. 25, 1925, at Pauls Valley. He died July 10, 2013, in Norman.

He attended school at Tupelo and entered the U.S. Army May 29, 1946. On May 28, 1949, he received an honorable discharge. He received the World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and one Bronze Service Star Ribbon while stationed in Germany 

Mr. Davis was a welder by trade. He moved from Tupelo to Norman in 2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren, Larry Don Major and Lindsay Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Vyrilla; a son, Kenneth Jason Davis Jr. of Norman; two daughters, Judy Quinn and husband Jim of Norman and Glenda Jean Major and husband Larry of Meeker; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
