Bobby Lester

ASHER —

Bobby Gene Lester, 73, resident of Asher and a former resident of Seminole County, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at a Shawnee hospital.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 17, and the family will greet visitors at Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa,  Thursday, July 18, from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled for noon Friday, July 19, at First Baptist Church in Asher. Cremation will follow after the service.

Mr. Lester was born June 24, 1940, in Ringling to Arthur Lewis Lester and Lois Marie Blackwell Lester. 

He was a military veteran of the Army and a cattle rancher.

Survivors include four sons, Glen Lester of Meeker, Grady Lester of Stillwater, William Joseph Whitney of Bray and Cody Whitney of Sayre; one daughter, Amy Whitney of Stephenville, Texas; one sister, Bonnie Olive of Asher; and six grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lois Lester; and one brother, Wayne Lester.

Bearers are Glen Lester, Grady Lester, William Whitney, Cody Whitney, Gary Allen and Mason Allen.
