Zoe Arliss Brown Murray, 84, died July 6, 2013.

She was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Lee E. and Ruby Christine (Muleky) Brown. 

Mrs. Murray attended grade school in Eloy, Ariz., and graduated from Ada High School in 1947. She attended East Central University.

She worked at Sugg Clinic, Oak Avenue Baptist Church and Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and retired from KADA radio station in 1993 after 28 years as office manager.

She married Carmon L. Murray on May 1, 1987, in Ada. They were married for 26 years.

She is survived by her husband, Carmon Murray, of the home; one nephew, Philip W. Brown and wife, Janis, of Tuttle; Carmon’s four children, Victor and Darla Murray of Ada, David and Karen Gray of Ada, Gregg and Diana Wallis of Byng and Daniel Murray of Stonewall; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Ruby Brown; her brothers, Leo Brown, Charles “Chuck” Brown and Bruce Brown; and one infant daughter, Sheila J. Fulton.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Friday, July 12, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, with David Gray officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to House of Hope Pregnancy Center, 509 E. 12th in Ada.
