Edna Nipps

Ada —

 Services for Edna Nipps, 83, Ada, are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Chapel, with the Rev. Earl Hood officiating. Burial follows at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nipps died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at a local nursing home. She was born May 1, 1930, in Sasakwa to Matthew and Gracie Batton Eberle. She moved to Ada in 1948.

She married W. L. “Toots” Nipps Sept. 1, 1948. He died April 1, 1993. Mrs. Nipps was a licensed practical nurse at Ada Retirement Center until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Nipps and wife, Joyce, of Ada, and Benny Nipps and Cathy of Ada; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives; and a special friend, Betty Smith of Ada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sandra Jo Anglin; a grandson, Benny Wayne Nipps; seven sisters; and eight brothers.

Bearers are Jared Nipps, Kenny Moore, Joe Tingle, Ronnie Parks, Ronnie Anglin and Wayne Christian.
