Haskell David Harrison

Services for Haskell David Harrison, 87, of Ada, are 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, the Rev. Gary Jamar officiating. Burial follows at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.

The Chickasaw Honor Guard  is conducting military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Harrison died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in Midwest City. He was born May 28, 1926, in Roff to Ilie and Jewel Grinstead Harrison. He graduated from Roff High School.

He married Barbara Jean Brookshire Feb. 17, 1948, in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. Harrison was the owner and operator of Harrison Hardware in Stonewall and Harrison T.V. and Appliance in Ada until his retirement. Formerly, he was employed with Phillips Petroleum. Mr. Harrison was a member and deacon at Morris Memorial Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Harrison, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl Wayne and Margaret Harrison, Fort Towson, and Kenny David and Rhonda Harrison, Ada; a daughter, and son-in-law, Sharyl Lynn and Kenneth Braddock, Midwest City; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Toy Harrison.

Bearers are Kevin Braddock, Brian Harrison, Chris Harrison, Curtis Gathright, Kenny Kelly, and Halen Ogles. Honorary bearers are Seth Harrison and the deacons at Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
