Allen —

Services for Helen Nadine Sanders, 88, of Allen are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery.

Mrs. Sanders died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at an Allen nursing home.

She was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Scipio to Odis and Mary Elizabeth Motes Mitchell. She attended Allen schools.

She married Lloyd T. Sanders on Sept. 20, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1999.

Mrs. Sanders was a caretaker for the McCall’s Chapel School for 18 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Allen.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Sanders and his wife, Carolyn, of Allen; six grandchildren,  Tracy Sanders, Allen, Billy Monday and his wife, Linda, of Stonewall, Steven Monday of Calvin, Shelby Holder and husband, David, of Allen, Carly Warrick and husband, Will, of Meeker, and Keri Vella and husband, Chris, of Edmond; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva Mae Frederick of Allen; two brothers, Kenneth Mitchell and wife, Betty, and Harold Mitchell and wife, Janell, all of Allen; and three nieces and three nephews.

Bearers will be Billy Monday, Dillon Monday, Steven Monday, Austin Holder, Levi Howard and Ed Smith.
