David Phillip Cummings

Graveside services for David Phillip Cummings, 65, of Canadian, formerly of Allen, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Allen Cemetery (Allen, Okla.), the Rev. Buddy Drake officiating.  

Family and friends may call at Criswell Chapel in Allen from 4 p.m. Friday until service time.

Mr. Cummings died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home.  

He was born Nov. 23, 1947, in Ada to Ray and Helen Crabtree Cummings. He attended schools in Allen and Oklahoma City.

Mr. Cummings served in Vietnam as a medic.  

He received the purple heart. 

Survivors include a son, Daniel Cummings of Allen; and an aunt, Eva Crabtree of Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Cummings and Kenneth Cummings.

Bearers are Randy Whelan, Mike Lumrey, Mark Thomas, James Brown, Bimbo  and Cecil Russell.
