ADA — Services for Loretta Joyce Keith, 75, Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Jim Robertson, Kent Kelso, and Ken Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Keith died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at her home. She was born Sept. 29, 1933, at Choctaw to George Melton and Opal Maddox McWaters.

She attended Choctaw schools. Mrs. Keith was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife for 47 years associated with Evangelistic Temple. Mrs. Keith was a member of Life Community Church.

She married the Rev. John W. Keith Oct. 20, 1950, in Oklahoma City. He died Sept. 28, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Mickey Keith and wife Glenda, Ada, and David Keith and wife Brandy, Ada; one daughter, Debbie Messinger and husband David, Holdenville; a brother, Gary McWaters and wife Alice, Porum; eight grandchildren, Deanna Powell, Ada, Georgiana Sullivan and husband Scott, Ada, Heather Chaffin and husband Jared, Ada, Michael Keith and wife Amber, Ada, Riley Keith, Ada, Conner Keith, Ada, Dake Messinger and wife Lisa, Holdenville, and Derek Messinger and wife Heather, Ada; and four great-grandchildren, Rachel Garrison, Adyson and Dallyn Sullivan and Coen Chaffin.

Bearers will be her grandsons, Michael Keith, Riley Keith, Conner Keith, Dake Messinger, Derek Messinger and Scott Sullivan.

GERTY — Services for Allan Lowell Tatum, 84, Gerty, are 11 a.m. Thursday at Harmony Baptist Church in Gerty, the Rev. David Wilbanks will officiate. Burial will follow at Gerty Cemetery. Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time.

Mr. Tatum died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1925, at Valliant to Emmitt and Rachel James Tatum.

He attended Valliant schools. He moved from California to Gerty in 1959. Mr. Tatum was self-employed in the dry-wall and carpenter business. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Linda Frances Wheeler on Feb. 22, 1969, at Non, Okla.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Tatum, of the home; four children, June Wilson, Gerty, Gayle Morris, Texas, Alton Tatum and wife Judy, Gerty, and Becky Powell, Savanna; two brothers, John Thomas Tatum and wife JoElla, Gerty, and Clifford Tatum and wife Twila, Gerty; two sisters, Joy Evans, Ada, and June McClain, Redding, California; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Allan Tatum Jr., three brothers, Oscar “Coot” Tatum, Emmitt Tatum Jr., and Billy Wayne Tatum; and three sisters, Joyce Darlene Tatum, Jeanette Rippee and Letta Mae Roebuck.

Bearers will be Jerry Wilson, Gerald Wilson, David Wilson, Lance Wilson, Juan Allan Tatum, and Lynn Powell. Honorary bearers will be Chad Edwards, Anthony Muck, Melvin Muck, Terry Turner, Stuart Strain, Lonnie Dockery and Denny Guffy.

ADA — Services for Shirley Donus Hinesley, 90, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Rusty Hewes will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinesley died Monday, April 27, 2009, at Midwest City. She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Stonewall to Earnest A. and Agnes Young Austelle.

She was a lifelong resident of this area. She attended Willard Elementary School and graduated from Horace Mann High School. She attended East Central State College and Blackwood-Davis Business College in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Hinesley lived in Hawaii, Japan, and Baltimore during World War II. She was employed with the Department of Human Services in Ada, retiring after 19 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; a member of the Golden Club and the Alter Society at the church.

She married Harry Hinesley in 1953 in Norman.

Survivors include one son, Harry E. Hinesley, of the home; a daughter, Aggie L. Busby, Norman; and five grandchildren, Joshua Dunigan, Daniel Dunigan, Sarah Dunigan, Alex Busby and Max Busby.
