Freeland Colbert

Services for Freeland Colbert, 73, of Stonewall, are 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Ada, the Rev. Napoleon Washington officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The National Guard Honor Guard is conducting military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Colbert died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at his home. He was born April 28, 1940, in the Leader Community, near Stonewall to Osborne Colbert and Grace Johnson Colbert. He graduated from Tupelo High School.

Mr. Colbert was employed with Brockway Glass Company in Ada until his retirement and later was a painter for J.P. Emco Manufacturing. He served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife Mary, of the home, and other relatives and friends.
