Mildred Evelyn Yoakum

Services for Mildred Evelyn Yoakum, 99, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2013,  at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Buck officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Yoakum died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013,  at a local nursing home.  She was born Oct. 2, 1913, in Ada to Tom and Bertha Davis Crow.

She married Clarence Lee Yoakum Jan. 8, 1933, in Ada. He died March 13, 1975.

Mrs. Yoakum was a clerk at F.W. Woolworth in Ada several years and was a member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her niece, Donna Howlingwolf, Ada; great-nieces, Lisa Nelson West and husband Shaun, Tahlequah, Marla Nelson Kimbrell and husband Andy, Konawa, Jennifer Baker, Shawnee; great-nephews, Trey Howlingwolf, Ada, Zachary Smith, Tahlequah, Dakota Lankford, Konawa and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, John David Baker.

Bearers are Dakota Lankford, Shaun West, Trey Howlingwolf,  Andy Kimbrell, Zachary Smith and Ray Lankford.
