Services for Sandra Kay Clinton, 68, of Ada are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Central Church of Christ, with Bud Ross officiating. Burial follows at Denny Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clinton died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Ada to Woodrow Wilson Matthews and Imogene Bingham Matthews.

She attended Irving Grade School and graduated from Ada High School. She graduated with honors from East Central State College with a double major in elementary and business education.

She married Larry Clinton on Dec. 27, 1963, in Ada. Mrs. Clinton taught at Byng School from 1966 until retiring in 2001. She was a longtime member of Central Church of Christ, Oklahoma Education Association and Oklahoma Retired Educators Association. 

Survivors include her husband, Larry Clinton, of the home; a son, Darren Clinton and his wife, Kristi, of Ada; a daughter, Tara Humphers and her husband, Geoff, of Ada; a brother, Dewayne Matthews and his wife, Marita, of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren, Kynlee and Krosby Clinton, and Clinton, Lauryn and Lyndi Humphers.

Bearers are Darren Clinton, Geoff Humphers, Clinton Humphers, Rick Matthews, Patrick Presley and Tanner Taylor. Honorary bearers are the Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Class.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to Compassion Outreach, c/o Central Church of Christ, 820 Stadium Drive, Ada, OK 74820.
