Cecil Howard Durr

Memorial services for Cecil Howard Durr, 77, Ada, are 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Ada, Drs. Bob Bender and Pat Kilby officiating. 

Mr. Durr died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at his home. He was born May 28, 1935, at Brookhaven, Miss., to J.D. and Clara Fondren Durr.

He attended school in Isola, Miss., and graduated from Isola High School. He attended the Armed Services Business School while serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He married Nancy E. Goins on Aug. 2, 1969, in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Durr was the owner of Durr Building and Construction Company and C & N Investments in Ada. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Durr, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Mike Seelyand grandchildren, Ryan and Evan, all of Ada; his sons, Scott Durr and grandchildren, Katherine, Gabby and Michael, all of Clarks Summit, Pa; and Brad Durr and wife Toni and grandchild Taylor, all of Ada; six brothers and sisters, James Durr, Joyce Bennett, Helen Lee, Linda Catania, Charles Durr and Danny Durr.
