Funeral service for James Floyd Harber, 58, lifelong resident of Ada, is at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, with the Rev. Frank Trent officiating. Burial follows at Lightening Ridge Cemetery, Roff.
He died May 7, 2013, in Ada. He was born Dec. 21, 1954, in Lightning Ridge to James Franklin Harber and Hester Rushing Harber.
He graduated from Vanoss School in 1973 and attended Okmulgee Tech. Mr. Harber served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Jerry Harber.
Survivors include his sons, Jason Harber, Ada, and Jimmy Harber, Oklahoma City; one grandson, Brandon Keeler; siblings, Lloyd Harber, Sulphur, Ed Harber and wife, Peggy, of Tishomingo, Larry Harber and wife, Debbie, of Tecumseh, Dwight Harber of Gore, Geneva Denson and husband, Tom, of Byng, Donna Mathews and husband, Mike, of Pickett, Brenda Blankenship and husband, Earl, of Center, Bonnie Cross and husband, Phillip, of Ponca City; and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Bearers are family members.
