DAVIS — Services for Arthur "Fat" Herring, 83, are 1 p.m. Friday, March 5, at Church of the First Born, Parkland, Okla. Mr. Herring died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Oklahoma City.

BLANCHARD — Services for Donnie Franklin Nixon, 68, Edmond, are 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Blanchard. Burial follows at Blanchard Cemetery.

Mr. Nixon died March 2, 2010.

RICHARD WALKER

ADA — Graveside services for Richard Philip Walker, 88, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery, the Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate.

Mr. Walker died Tuesday, March 2, 2010,  at his home. He was born March 8, 1921, at Verona, Pa., to Philip and Gertrude Schwartz Walker.

He graduated from high school in Cochrantin, Pa.

He married Esther Bailey on Oct. 12, 1956,  at Conneaut, Ohio.

Mr. Walker was a truck driver for Kelroy Steel Company in Cleveland, Ohio, retiring in 1978 after 20 years of service. He and his wife moved to Ada in 1978 from Ohio and he was a truck driver for Sanford Oil Company retiring in 1983. Mr. Walker was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ada and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Walker, of the home.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, George and Bob.

Bearers will be Lyle Bailey, Jim Hill, Don Kaiser, Ted Loman, Lowell Leach and Charles Tamashiro.

LOUISE CURRIER

ADA — Services for Martha Louise Currier, 79, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Currier died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 193, at Ada to Egbert and Orbie Acrey Wallis.

She married Lloyd Willis Currier. He died in 1962.

Mrs. Currier was the former owner and operator of Parkview Café and the Hamburger King in Ada. She also worked at Brockway Glass Company. Mrs. Currier attended Bible Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Laxton, Ada; a son, Lloyd Franklin Currier and wife Jennifer, Ada; two sisters, Eva Wallis, Ada, and Jo Wilfong, Henryetta, Texas; a brother, Delbert Wallis, Byng; four grandchildren, Stacey Lyda, Ada, Nova Currier, Ada, Lloyd N. Currier, Ada, and Nina Currier, Ada; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Currier in 2000; five brothers, Bud Wallis, Glen Wallis, Bittie Wallis, Floyd Wallis, and Bert Wallis; and three sisters, Dovie Lancaster, Barbara Roundtree, and Juanita Wallis.

Bearers will be Shawn Lyda, John Mann, Devin Speers, Daniel Johnson, William Cook and Joe Cook. Honorary bearer is Johnny Henderson.
