Betty Kathryn Murray

Graveside services for Betty Kathryn Murray, 88, Owl Creek, were 2:30 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery, the Rev. Barry Worcester officiated.

Mrs. Murray died Monday, June 17, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 13, 1924, in the Conway Community east of Ada, Oklahoma to Olney (Blue) and Myrtle Mayer Blackburn.

She married Jack Burdell Murray on Jan. 27, 1947, in Fort Smith, Ark. He died Jan. 30, 1997, in Owl Creek. Mrs. Murray was a homemaker. 

Survivors include two sons, Lee Murray, Ada, and Phillip Murray, Owl Creek; one sister, Regina Sarrett Sales, Ardmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olney (Blue) and Myrtle Mayer Blackburn, a sister, Josephine Latta, and a brother, J. B. Blackburn.
