Ada — Thomas Ressel

ADA — Services for Thomas Keith Ressel, 81, of Ada, are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Homer Baptist Church, 19358 County Road 1533 Loop, Ada. The Rev. Harold Ware will officiate.

Mr. Ressel died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in his home at Ada.

He was born, Jan. 6, 1933, the 11th child of Harry and Clara (Harris) Ressel on a farm south of O’Neill Nebraska. Graduating from O’Neill High School in 1950, he enlisted in the Army at the outbreak of the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge in 1954 as a Sergeant First Class.

While in the service, he married Norma Cullen. To this union were born four children: Ricky, Vincent, Ramona Palmer and Kathleen King.

Early in their married life Tom and Norma committed their life to the Lord, to the church, and to his family. Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his four children, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Juanita Capps

ADA — Jauanita Lizabeth Capps, 76, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Ada. She was born Aug. 5, 1037 in Owlcreek to Roy and Lena Hatton.

She married Doil Hatton Aug. 5, 1954 and lived in Ada since 1959.

Surivivors include two sons, Doil Capps Jr., Ada and Dennis Capps of the home; daughter Debby Capps, Vanoss; five brothers, Gerald Hatton, Doug Hatton, Pat Hatton, Ray and Bill Hatton; three sisters, Oletha Covington, Freda Johnson and Darlene Chambers; two granddaughters, Christy Goss and Cindy Greenwood; and three great grandchildren, Madison, Natalie and Jameson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers, Leon, Leroy, J.B. and Richard Hatton.

ADA-Services for Elba Jean Norwood Latham, 90, of Ada, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. Mrs. Latham died Friday, February 28, 2014 at a local nursing home.

Debra “Debbie” Graham

ADA-Services for Debra “Debbie” Ellis Graham, 56, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ken Wolf will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Graham died February 28, 2014 at a local hospital.  She was born August 9, 1957 to Ralph and Lyda Teel Ellis.  She graduated from Ada High School, and attended Sulphur Vo-Tech.  She was a home maker.  

Survivors include a daughter, Angela Sliger and husband Cole of Ada; a granddaughter, Cobi Sliger of Ada; a grandson, Cade Sliger of Ada; and three sisters, Sheila DeSoto of Ada, Hazel Faulkner of Ada, and Becky Brenholtz of Pauls Valley.

She was preceded in death her parents, a brother, Larry Ellis, and a sister, Linda Byrd.

Pall bearers include Bo Ellis, Wayne Byrd, Bill Bean, Cole Sliger, Thadd Russell, and Ronnie Anglin.

Faye Jones

ADA-Services for Faye Rene Jones, 87, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Blankenship will officiate.  Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery near Stratford.

Mrs. Jones died Friday, February 28, 2014 at a local retirement center.  She was born July 12, 1926 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Floyd Alexander and Bonnie Ann Farnham Bailey.  She was an in home provider and Certified Nurse’s Aide at the Ballard and Jan Frances Care Centers.  Mrs. Jones attended the Yeager school system, and was of the holiness faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Mulliniks of Ada; a son, Allan Jones and wife Sue of Ada; two sisters, Violet Tabor of Blanchard, and Avis Cosby of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Randy Mulliniks, Lesa Faust, Sandi Yandell, Stacy Hall, Jeff Mulliniks, and Debbie Ann Hall; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Hall; a son, Ronnie Gene Jones; a grandson, Bryan Jones; four sisters, Marie Drake, Sybil Stowers, Rogenia Brown, and Mozelle Wood; four brothers, Tony Bailey,Joe Bailey and Jerry Bailey, and her twin brother, Floy Gene Bailey.

Pall bearers include Stacy Hall, Randy Mulliniks, Jeff Mulliniks, Brad Faust, Bruce Yandell, and Calvin Wood.  Honorary bearers include Josh Adams, Ryan Faust, Clayton Mulliniks, and Dustin Mulliniks.

Mary Stacy

Services for Mary Sue Stacy, 73, of Stonewall are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Seth Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.

Mrs. Stacy died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her home. She was born December 2, 1940 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to John Henry and Eva Mae McCurry Beevers. She attended school in Georgia, Enid and Honolulu, HI. She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa in 1959.

She married Jerry Stacy on November 3, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stacy was a licensed cosmetologist and later a sales clerk and cashier for Enterprise Company in Tulsa and Dillard’s also in Tulsa, and later for Blue Bell Mfg. Co. and K-Mart in Ada.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Stacy, of the home; two daughters, Karen Ames and husband Arthur of Stonewall and Donna Wood and husband Brian of Stonewall; four grandchildren, Roxanna Gantt, Stacy Blackwood, Holly Bingham and Devan Wood; a great grandson, Bryor Wood; and her step-father, William D. Shephard of Zanesville, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Alice Beevers, Geraldine Wilson and her twin sister, Melba Stockton.

Bearers will be Art Ames, David Bingham, Devan Wood, and Stanton Atkins.
