Johnny Lee Hayes

Ada — Graveside services for Johnny Lee Hayes, 77, Ada, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Pontotoc Cemetery, the Rev. Albin Firestone will officiate.  The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Hayes died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 23, 1937, in Olney, Okla., to John H. and Mary Ruby Burrow Hayes. He graduated from Pontotoc High School and lived in this area all his life.

Mr. Hayes was a carpenter and painter. He served in the U. S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii.

Survivors include a daughter, Dana of Yuma, Ariz.; his brothers, Willie Hayes and wife Dorothy of Latta and Tom Hayes of Mena, Ark.; and a sister, Katy Winton and husband Billy of Washington, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers, Gene, Faral, Robert, Loyd and David; and a sister, Mary.
