Glen Howard McGuire

Ada — Services for Glen Howard McGuire, 89, Ada, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, David Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. McGuire died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.

He was born March 25, 1924, to Doc Stewart and Emma Pearl King McGuire in Tupelo. 

Mr. McGuire owned and operated his own service station for many years. He married Nadine Brooks Nov. 11, 1944, in Pecan Valley. The couple were longtime members of Oak Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. McGuire was a member of the Masonic Lodge #119 for 50 years and attained Worshipful Master in 1966. 

Survivors include his wife, Nadine McGuire of the home; son Bill and wife Shirley McGuire, Tulsa; two daughters, Sharon and husband Wayne Hall, Grove, and Glenda and husband Ron Britt, Ada; brother Travice McGuire, Wewoka; sister Lois Sharp, Chickasha; five grandchildren, Glen McGuire, Greg Hall, Jeff Hall, Lisa Martin and Josh Britt; and 13 great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and grandson Steven Wayne Hall.
