Patricia “Pat” Ponder Bell

Marietta — Services for Patricia “Pat” Ponder Bell, 80, of Falconhead, Burneyville, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, Norman. Officiating will be Rev. Francis Bartley. Mrs. Bell died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.

Mrs. Bell was born Dec. 7, 1933 in Ada, to Jefferson Vol Crawford and Viola Iona Harden Crawford.

She attended Ada Public Schools graduating from Ada High School in 1952 and attended Oklahoma A & M and East Central University. On July 2, 1954, she married Bobby Eugene Ponder and they were together for 39 years until his death in October 1993. She married Lawrence Daniel Bell on April 6, 2002, and they established their home at Falconhead Resort and Country Club west of Marietta. She attended the Falconhead Christian Fellowship Chapel.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Jean Gaffney of Dallas, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Bell of the home; son, David Ponder of Norman; daughter, Christy Johnson of Edmond; brother, Phillip Crawford, also of Norman; four grandchildren, Lyndsea Ponder of Norman, Bridgette Williams and Mason Johnson of Edmond and Chase Johnson of Purcell, OK; and three stepdaughters, Angela Kay Randles, Rhonda Gay Schmidt and Lisa Marie Ulstad.

Bearers will be Michael Johnson, Jim Thompson, Jim Webb, Don Shugart, Carl Beauchamp and John Hubinger. Honorary bearers are J.D. Casey, Jack Curran and Tom Maier.

The family requests memorials be made to “Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue,” 17667 Markita Drive, Jones, OK 73049.
