Charlette Willis

Marietta — Services for Charlette Willis, 74, Marietta, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta, Jimmy May officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home. Mrs. Willis died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Ardmore.

She was born June 5, 1939 in Oklahoma City to Melvin Turner Rutledge and Alice Leeper Stiles Rutledge. Mrs. Willis had made her home in Love County for the past 38 years, previously a resident of Oklahoma City. She married Royce Willis in Oklahoma City on Jan. 1, 1970. Mrs. Willis was a homemaker and a member of Marietta's First Baptist Church, serving as G.A. and Acteens leader for many years. In addition, Charlette was a member of the Senior Adult Choir. 

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Royce Willis of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Terri Skidmore of Ada, Mark Willis and Mike and Julie Willis of Oklahoma City; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Randall Christy of Roff, Melody and Dewayne Payne and Laura Willis of Oklahoma City; sister, Melva Hale of Ada; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be grandsons, A.J. Christy, Clark Christy, Frankie Skidmore, Doug Skidmore, Justin Payne and Kyle Willis.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
