Betty Sue Hotema Zephier

Ardmore —  Services for Betty Sue Hotema Zephier, 83, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sandy Creek Church in Filmore, Okla., the Revs. Allen Beck and Randy Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery.

Ms Zephier died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Frisco, Texas. She was born Aug. 4, 1930 at Hugo to Frank Solomon Hotema, Sr. and Lily Mae Brown Hotema. 

She married Alvin R. Zephier, Sr. in Bromide, Okla., on Dec. 27, 1972. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alvin; children James Paul and Rebecca Ann Wanatee; brothers Frank Hotema, Solomon Cyrus Hotema and Sampson McCraken; sister-in-law Georgine Hotema and great-nephew Jonathan Hotema. 

Survivors include her children Patsy and Rocko Jim of Nespelm, Wash., Judy and Luther John of Tishomingo, and Ruth and Matt Benedick of Ardmore; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Bearers will be Bennie Hotema, Byars Baken, Jerry Johnson, Cody Brown, Travis John and Frank Sewell. Honorary bearers will be Matt Benedick, Rocko Jim, Bryen Brown, Cody Reynolds, Joe Jackson, Brandon John and CJ Harjo.
