Margaret Cobb

Services for Margaret June Cobb, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee. She died Tuesday, July 1, 2014. 

Ms. Cobb was born Feb. 15, 1926, to John Thomas Noland and Maudie Lee (Suttle) Noland at Wynnewood. She was raised and went to school at Wynnewood. 

During World War II, Ms. Cobb was a Rosie the Riveter. She helped construct and rivet the noses for the C-47 airplanes at Douglas Aircraft (Tinker Air Force Base). 

She married Dale Cobb Sept. 10, 1945. Ms. Cobb later attended East Central University and earned three bachelor's degrees in business administration, home economics and business education. She also studied for a master's degree in business administration at the University of Oklahoma. 

Ms. Cobb was employed at Tinker Air Force Base from June 1967-April 1979 and worked part time at the ANB from 1979-1982 as a teller. 

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Parker; two sons, Gary Cobb and Jack Cobb; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dale Noland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale Cobb.
