James Duane “J.J.” Bray

Ada — Services for James Duane “J.J.” Bray, 68, of Ada are at 2 p.m. Thursday at  Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kendall Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Bray died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at a Shawnee hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1945, in Ada to James L. and Geneva Davis Bray. He graduated from high school in Delano, California. 

He married Karren Reed on March 8, 1966, in Ada. Mr. Bray was a carpenter and also a janitor for the Wrangler plant, retiring after 20 years of service. 

Survivors include his wife, Karren Bray, of the home; his parents, James and Geneva Bray of Ada; and two grandsons, Brandon Duane Stith of Coalgate and Tyler Rein Stith of Ardmore.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Michelle Bray Stith; his twin brother, Johnny L. Bray; and a niece, Sheila Bray.

Bearers will be Doyle Reed, Jeremy Guffey, Marlin Guffey, Bryan Reed, Mitch Jarrett and Lewis Jarrett. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Stith and Tyler Stith.
